Volunteer Activity – Briquette Delivery for Local Community (2025)

In 2025, I again participated in my company’s annual briquette delivery volunteer program, supporting households that rely on coal briquettes for heating during the winter season. The activity was conducted in a different neighborhood from the previous year, where our team worked together to deliver and stack thousands of briquettes to ensure residents could stay warm throughout the colder months.

Each briquette weighs approximately 3.65 kg, symbolizing the hope that families can remain warm for 365 days. Remembering this message from the organizers continued to make the experience meaningful and reinforced the value of consistent community support.

Recently, I learned that a large fire occurred in the area where we had delivered briquettes, which was deeply saddening. It reminded me how vulnerable some communities can be and further strengthened my belief in the importance of ongoing volunteer efforts and social responsibility.

연탄 나눔 봉사활동 (2025)

2025년에도 회사에서 매년 진행하는 연탄 나눔 봉사활동에 참여하여, 겨울철 난방에 어려움을 겪는 지역 주민들을 돕는 활동을 수행하였습니다. 이번 봉사활동은 전년도와는 다른 지역에서 진행되었으며, 동료들과 함께 연탄을 직접 운반하고 정리하며 주민들이 겨울을 따뜻하게 보낼 수 있도록 힘을 보탰습니다. 연탄 한 장의 무게는 약 3.65kg으로, 365일 동안 따뜻하게 지내기를 바라는 의미가 담겨 있다는 설명이 기억에 남아 있습니다. 이러한 의미는 작은 나눔이지만 누군가에게는 큰 도움이 될 수 있다는 점을 다시 한번 느끼게 해주었습니다. 최근 봉사활동을 진행했던 해당 지역에 큰 화재가 발생했다는 소식을 접하면서 마음이 무거웠습니다. 이 일을 통해 도움이 필요한 지역사회에 대한 지속적인 관심과 나눔의 중요성을 다시 한번 생각하게 되는 계기가 되었습니다.
